As the darkness descends

the moon brings a chill down my tender spine

my daddy left the room

and now i can hear voices outside

If i shiver i might be dead

for he would find me under my bed
so i stay and try not to shout

even after hearing my mother scream

i close my eyes and open again

wishing this were but a dream!!!

as the silence comes closer

i can hear the dragging of his feet

moments go by

and my tears blind my sight

and then out of nowhere

my door is smashed by sheer might!!!

i can see his bloody feet on th floor

i try not to breath for he might hear me

i can see his hand...with my mother's head...

and then...darkness descends...

u can laugh at my innocence
or mock my profanity
u can cry those tears with me
or let them be lost in empitness
u can live a life of strength
or let go and push the knife deeper
u can swallow the pain and the gift of death
or let it give you life
u can etch these words and run them deep
or let them go and drive away your insanity
u can let me go deeper into the dark
or bear my burden until the last
u can kill me here and win this war
or lose the battle to a battered soul
My death is but the begining of the endless fate
But yours is non significant
